Hello and a Happy New Year to everyone.
At the end of November 2008 I finally managed to get the lake netted which is great news, we took out about 1.5 tonnes of silver fish mainly roach and bream. A few weeks after the netting we applied 7 tonnes of Micro-chalk,so as a result of the netting and chalking of the lake. The ecosystem and the water clarity will be greatly improved which in turn should make the fishing even better in 2009.
The lake is over 50 years old and no one has probably ever invested time and money into improving the ecosystem and water quality. The stock density is about right so my job from now on is to improve the habitat for the carp and watch them grow on.
We have had some cancelations due to peoples financial problems etc all the re:available dates are on the home page... I'll look foward to seeing everyone on the lake.
